Bronze bust with patina, a curated vintage piece by Maison LAROGY

New things can do a lot. Old things know more.

Patina is not damage, it is a record. Every worn spot on an armrest speaks of hands that rested there, every pale patch in the wood of a sun that once came through a different window. Sand the patina away and you erase an archive.

Patina is time you can see in a room. It is the opposite of throwaway.

Restoring with a light hand

We restore with a light hand. What gets in the way of function is repaired. What tells a story stays. A crack in the leather gets care, not new leather. Brass is allowed to go dark, that is its right.

Why vintage meets modern

That is why we mix vintage with modern classics. The new gives a room clarity, the old gives it weight. A home where everything is the same age says nothing. One where eras meet never stops speaking. You will find more of our pieces in the shop.

FAQ

Frequently asked

Should I have old brass re-polished?

We usually advise against it. A darkened brass handle tells a story, a mirror-bright one tells nothing. We care for a piece rather than overwrite it.

Do you also restore pieces yourselves?

Yes. What gets in the way of function we repair. What tells a story we keep.
